The Frisco football team is halfway done with its regular season, but it's looking more and more like the season could extend deep into the playoffs.

On Friday, Frisco improved to 5-0 with a 35-31 victory over Reedy, the defending District 7-5A Division II champion. The Raccoons took a 22-0 lead in the first five minutes, and after Reedy rallied to take the lead in the fourth quarter, Frisco had the winning answer at the Ford Center.

On the game-winning drive, Caree' Green threw a 33-yard pass to Chase Lowery, who jumped high to grab the pass over a Reedy defender. That set up a 6-yard touchdown run by Bryson Clemons.

Frisco is now 3-0 in District play -- and the only team in 7-5A Division II that is undefeated. The Raccoons play Lake Dallas on Friday (Oct. 4) at FISD Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

Frisco is 5-0 for the first time since it was the only high school in Frisco ISD. Centennial opened as the second FISD high school in 2003.
